Getting a set of headlights and taillights for your Boosted board is one of the best things you can buy for it.

Lights can save your life when you’re riding at night.

Being seen can mean the difference between getting home safely at night or going to the hospital.

Remember that your safety is your own and no one else’s…

Don’t think it’s a given. Take the time to buy lights if you ride at night.

It can be hard and tricky to find the best lights.

Avoid going on Amazon… There are a lot of cheap lights that have bad reviews.

But don’t worry, we’ve found the three best lights for your Boosted Board.

Let’s get started!

1.Shred Lights SL-200 Combo Pack

The SL-200 is without a doubt the best light you can buy for your boosted board.

Depending on the mounts you get, the retail price starts at $99.

And yes, they work with all models of Boosted boards:

  • Boosted Stealth
  • Boosted Plus
  • Boosted Mini X
  • Boosted Mini S

For many reasons, the SL-200 are the best lights for your Boosted board.

First, how long it lasts.

Try to guess how long they will last…

Five hours, ten hours, or twenty?

Try closer to 150 hours… That’s right, these bad boys can run for more than 6 days straight at the most.

The best part is that they can be fully charged in only 2 hours.

You can go for long rides on your board knowing that you’ll be visible the whole time… No need to worry about charging while on the go!

There are also 6 different light modes on the SL-200.

  • Low Beam
  • Medium Beam
  • High Beam
  • Low Flashing
  • Medium Flashing
  • High Flashing

You can choose from 3 different ways to flash or 3 different ways to keep the light on.

Use the flashing modes if you are really worried about being seen. With all those flashing lights, drivers will have no choice but to notice you.

Use a steady beam if you just want to light up the area right in front of you.

Overall, for $99, you get a pretty good deal.

There are no other lights like this… (do not shop on Amazon).

What’s in the box:

  • (2) White SL-200 Lights (Headlights)
  • (2) Red SL-200 Lights (Taillights)
  • (2) Dual Micro USB Charging Cables
  • (2) Pairs of mounts of your choice
  • (3) ShredLights Stickers
  • 30 Day Money Back Guarantee
  • 90 Day Warranty

The Shred Lights are also very simple to set up.

The SL-200 lights are attached to mounts, which you put on the trunks of your cars.

First, unscrew the nut that’s holding your trunk in place and slide the mount on. You can then put the nut back on and slide the lights onto the mount. Simple as that.

Here’s a video that will show you how to do it.

As was already said, each board has a different amount of room for the lights under it.

So, you have to buy the right kind of mounts to make sure the lights will fit.

But don’t worry, we’ll take care of you…

Both the Boosted Plus and the Stealth have Standard Mounts in the front and Angled Mounts in the back. (Standard/Angled)

Standard Mounts will fit on the front of the Boosted Mini S and X, and Extended Mounts will fit on the back. (Standard/Extended)

Just make sure that when you check out, you choose the right option!

Overall, these are by far the best lights on the market and come highly recommended to keep you safe.

2.Illume V2 E-Board Headlight And Taillight

This is a fascinating situation.

These lights are not made by a company, but by a single person.

You can find these lights at GenexDesigns on Etsy…

With over 51 reviews giving these things 4.5 out of 5 stars, you can trust them.

Starting at $51.99, the combo set includes both the front headlight and the back taillight.

What’s interesting about these lights is that, unlike most electric skateboard lights, they’re not attached to the bottom of the board. Instead, they’re attached to the top deck of the board.

In the same way, they go on mounts that go on your trunks, but this time they go on the top of your deck.

I’m not sure how this will change the way you ride now. It’s possible that the lights will make it hard for you to keep your feet on the ground.

But from what people have said, it seems like everything is fine.

Sam Wiewel is the owner of Genex Designs. He is so sure of the quality of his mounts that he guarantees them for life.

As for the lights themselves, they do an excellent job.

The headlight can be turned on in four different ways. Three steady beams and one that strobes. Here is how long the battery lasts:

  • 5 hours on max
  • 4 hours on medium
  • 8 hours on low

The best part is that the light can shine up to 150 feet away and be seen from more than a mile away…

The Blitzu 168T taillight is made by the company Blitzu.

The light was originally made for bicycles, but it works great as a light for your Boosted board.

The tail light has 6 different modes of brightness and flashing, as well as different battery life:

  • 5 hours on max
  • 6 hours on low

It takes less than an hour to fully charge. It shines light 15 feet behind you and lets people see you from more than 300 feet away.

With all of the features it has and the fact that it only costs $52, I’d say this light is a steal.

The only thing I don’t like is that shipping can take up to two weeks, depending on where you live, unless you pay extra for faster shipping.

3.Koowheel LED Lights

Koowheel LED Lights are last but not least.

You can get one of these from Amazon for $22.99.

A lot of the electric skateboard lights on Amazon are pretty low quality and have pretty bad reviews.

Overall, 3.5 out of 5 stars are given to the Koowheel lights.

Even though these lights are ranked third, there are a lot of bad reviews about broken brackets, lights that won’t turn on, and other problems.

This is the best choice if you’re just looking for lights based on price and saving money. But it might or might not be good.

There are 4 lights in the package:

  • 2 front headlight
  • 2 rear taillights

They have two ways to light up: a steady high beam and a strobe. It takes 1 hour to fully charge, and then it will work for 4 hours straight.

They can also stand up to water and work well in bad weather.

Few Choices Are Available

If you read my last article about electric skateboard lights, you’ll know that there aren’t many ways to light up your Boosted board.

We should have more choices.

Shred Lights is the clear winner, but the market needs more competition to get things moving.

If you don’t want to spend money on lights that go on your electric skateboard, you can buy other things, such as:

  • Neon Vests
  • Reflective Patches and Bracelets
  • Helmet Lights

The best way to make yourself more visible is probably to use lights. Here are some other ways.

Remember that your safety comes first… don’t just assume people can see you.
